Sound made by Liwei Yin

The starting point of this project is to allow people to imagine things and events in a particular time and space by listening to the sound. The inspiration for the project came from the trees fallen down in the green space of a park and people who sat down to rest on them. When people sit down and rest on the tree as a chair, they form a connection with the tree, and although they have different senses, they experience the events of the park in the same period of time and space. The project creates a virtual theatre around the fallen tree, with the projection of the visual and sound of an afternoon's routine in the park, allowing people to listen to a documentary in the theme of life with the dying tree.
The visual part of the project stitches together the 3D scanned trees in real life with daily footage and builds it into a virtual space in the form of a theatre, allowing the audience to imagine the atmosphere inside the forest theatre through the presentation of both third and first person perspectives.

The sound part of the project uses the flowing wind as the whole background sound, present the sound that surrounds and connects the whole environment, and shape the outline of the whole space through this background sound. The collected birds, footsteps, people talking and other sounds from different angles and positions are collage together to narrate the story that happening in the whole space.
