This is a self-initiated project to study the relationship between human and pets through their dining habits. The adaption of eating with other species can only happen between civilized human and domesticated animals when they are in a special relationship described as “pet and owner”. This adaption is important because it can truly put domesticated animal into a position that equals to a human companion or a family member.
I asked people about their opinions on pet food. Based on my research, my design work focused on equal pet and the pet's owner in terms of having meals. I designed a table that allows both the pet and human to have dinner with. The user I targeted on was cat and its owners.
